For those of you who’ve been FTO’s, you know that rewarding your trainee for simply making a split decision under stress instead of just standing there quivering, that really encourages ("pours courage into") him or her. You should offer up this exercise as a table-top session for your brass.Their sideline decisions have real consequences when things go brown. Trying to stay within policy when policies fail reality, it’ll be good for those guys to feel some pucker factor…even though there’s carpet under their feet. ~Dave E.
